Thomas makes statement as future Wildcat

ORLANDO, Fla. - Aldine, Texas defensive back Curtis Thomas showed the ability to play more than one position at the East Meets West All-American game.
The future Kansas State Wildcat had quite the week of practice leading up to a strong showing in the game. Thomas said afterwards that he's ready to bring that versatility to Manhattan.

"I knew this game would be a challenge," Thomas said. "My focus was just to show that I have confidence, faith, and play my beset game."
Now, the next chapter at KSU is ready to being. Thomas is certainly looking forward to the future.
"It's every exciting," Thomas said about being at Kansas State. "We've got a new coach, we're trying to rebuild, we've got a great quarterback, and all of that. We're trying to bring Kansas State up back to the top of the Big 12.
"We want to make a positive statement and show that Kansas State is on the rise."
Listed as a safety, Thomas says that's what he'll most likely be playing at Kansas State. However, his performance at corner this past week certainly makes it easy to see he could play all over.
"Whatever fits me best, that's what I'll play," he said.
