Thomas in no rush for a decision

Wide receiver Ian Thomas of Reistertown (Md.) Franklin has remained rather quiet despite holding 11 offers. He did, however, take a few visits recently, and also seems close to adding to his offer total in the coming weeks.
"Recruiting has been pretty still for the most part," said Thomas, who is 6-foot-1 and 193-pounds. "Things have slowed down. I took a few unofficials and that's about it."

Four East Coast programs, all who have offered, were the destinations of his most recent visits.
"I've been to Boston College, Rutgers, West Virginia and Maryland, in that order," said Thomas, who also mentioned that he does not have any further visits finalized at this time.
While Rutgers and Maryland have been showing the most interest recently, a few other schools may be close to adding to his offer total.
"I'm getting a lot of interest from Georgia Tech, Virginia, Miami, Michigan and Michigan State," said Thomas, who does not currently have any favorites.
Thomas also discussed a few things he hopes to find in a school, and if he has a general timeline for a final decision.
"I want to have an opportunity to compete for a starting spot in my first year, a school that is solid academically and good people," said Thomas. "January is when I plan on committing."
