Three scholarship offers sit on the table for Winnie (Texas) East Chambers athlete Tramain Thomas.
Thomas, the 6-foot-2, 175-pounder, is being recruited at a variety of different positions including wide receiver, cornerback, and safety. So far, Arizona, Baylor, and Houston have offered and Thomas says he'd like to have a decision made before his fall season begins.
"I talk to Arizona, they pretty much text me every day and Baylor text messages me every day," Thomas said. "They just tell me about the school and how things are going up there with football."
Thomas says he still doesn't have a favorite school yet, but he does have a plan set for a decision.
"Well, in July, I'm going to play basketball the whole month," Thomas said. "Come August, I'm going to get back into football and I'll probably have a decision. I just want to get it out of the way before the season starts."
Before making a commitment, Thomas says he's going to try and visit the schools that have offered. So far he's been to one cam p at LSU.
"I can always go to Houston," Thomas said. "I'm really going to try to visit all three."
As for what position he'll play on the next level, Thomas says he's open.
"Well, I have some recruiting me as a receiver and Baylor was recruiting me as a safety," he said. "Some are recruiting me as a corner. I like receiver, but I'm not really sure yet. I like having the ball in my hands."
