Khaylan Thomas is just getting started with the recruiting process but his trip to Arizona this past weekend definitely has him highly interested in the Wildcats.
The emerging linebacker from Etiwanda, Calif., said he had a great visit in Tucson, the Wildcats offered and they have become a serious consideration as his recruitment continues.
"It was really amazing," Thomas said. "I really liked the school and the coaches were really cool. I liked it a lot.
"I really loved the facilities. They were really good. Everybody was really nice. It was a great system. I liked it."
Arizona is the latest offer for Thomas, a hard-hitting 6-foot-2, 210-pound prospect who has also landed offers from Colorado, Oregon State and Washington State in the last few weeks.
It's still early for the Etiwanda standout, so he doesn't want to rush anything, but Thomas said he thinks Arizona is going to stay high on his list regardless of which other programs get involved.
"They offered me," Thomas said. "They're really at the top of the list. They're one of my main choices right now.
"I'm going to take it slow still, but as time goes on, they're still going to be up there on my list. They're still going to be one of my top schools."
UCLA, USC and Boise State are three other programs showing more interest in Thomas, who said it would be a dream to play for the Bruins or Trojans. Still, after his trip to Arizona, the Wildcats look to be in good position.
