Thomas down to three

The recruitment of Coppell (Texas) Rivals100 defensive end Solomon Thomas has been heated with coaches from across the country working their hardest to secure a spot in his final few schools.
He has considered several options over the course of his recruitment but as signing day approaches he is trimming his list to a final few.

While in San Antonio, Texas, for the Army All-American Bowl, the 6-foot-3, 265-pound defender let it be known that he was down to a final five of Arkansas, Ohio State, Stanford, Texas, and UCLA.
On Monday, Thomas notified two other programs they were no longer under consideration. Solomon's father Chris Thomas told Rivals.com they called coach Strong at Texas and coach Fickell at Ohio State to let them know Solomon had narrowed his list to Arkansas, Stanford, and UCLA.
Thomas has been busy on the recruiting trail. He took his first official visit to UCLA on December 13, and took his official visit to Stanford in January. The next stop is a trip to Arkansas on January 24.
He has not reached a final decision at this time, and at this point it looks like he will wait until signing day to make his final announcement.
As a senior Thomas recorded 78 tackles, 12.5 sacks, 28 quarterback hurries, and 26 tackles for loss. He is ranked No. 37 in the Rivals100 and No. 3 among the nation's strongside defensive ends.
