Thomas commits to UAB
Decatur (Ala.) offensive lineman Caleb Thomas will play Division I-A football. Thomas recently gave a verbal commitment to UAB.
"I committed last Wednesday, then took the visit that Friday," Thomas said. "I enjoyed the campus. It was nice.

Several aspects of the Blazers program stood out.
"The closeness, just an hour away, the new coaches seem to get along, the school in general, and it's known nationwide," he said.
The 6-foot-3, 260-pounder believes he could play early at a number of positions along the Blazers offensive line.
"The coaches talked to me about playing center or guard," he said. "They didn't really say a lot about red-shirting, because I have a chance to play early."
