Thomas begins to consider officials

Safety Marquel Thomas out of Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside holds three offers from Northern Illinois, Eastern Michigan and Marshall. A couple other schools are keeping an eye on the 6-foot-2, 165-pounder as the season is coming to a close.
"We've got one more game left on Friday against Cox and then we head to the playoffs," he said. "I think we're a six seed. I've been doing great. I have 41 receptions for 793-yards and 10 touchdowns.

"I've seen a big improvement in my game. I never thought I'd get this many receptions and yards."
The big year has resulted in significant interest from a couple more schools.
"I have a couple more looking at me," he said. "ODU and Tennessee are in contact. I haven't talked to Tennessee and don't know what they are doing. I think they want to see my grades before doing something.
"ODU, I went on an unofficial there a week ago. It was real nice and I like that they are a program starting up."
Thomas currently has one official planned in the near future, but may have to delay it.
"I know I've got an official to Northern Illinois for November 10th," he said. "I'll probably have to push it back due to the playoffs."
The two-star prospect confirmed that he believes Northern Illinois is currently his leader still.
