Junior to Watch: Jamar Thomas
School: Jacksonville (Fla.) First Coast High School

Position: ATH
Size and speed: Thomas is 5-foot-10, 170 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.
Statistics: As a junior, he rushed for more than 700 yards and eight touchdowns and also had 500 yards receiving.
Favorite Schools: Florida, LSU, Tennessee.
Skinny: The versatile Thomas split time between running back and wide receiver last season, recording over 1,200 yards in total offense.
"I do a little bit of everything," he said. "Whatever the coach thinks will help us win. I like playing running back and receiver, a little defense too."
He says he doesn’t mind what position he plays at the next level, as long as it’s with a strong program.
“I’ve always wanted to play in the SEC,” he said. “I’ve been a Florida for a long time. They’ve always been my team. But I also like to watch LSU and Tennessee. They would be my top three at this point. It’s still early, though. I’m just glad to be getting some attention from some big schools.”
Thomas has received letters from Florida, Tennessee, LSU, Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State and Central Florida, among others, early in the process.
He plans to camp at LSU, Florida and UCF this summer.
