Linebacker Jeremiah George picked up his third scholarship offer earlier today. This one came from Colorado State.
"I found out today after school," George said. "My mom text me during football workouts and I thought she was just teasing me, then when I went home I saw the official offer.
"I'll be honest and say I don't know much about them at all besides that they are a great academic school. I can't wait to start doing my research on such a fine school like CSU."
George, 5-11 and 200 pounds, is from Clearwater (Fla.) High School. His first scholarship offer was from Tulane. His second was from Kansas. So where do things stand right now?
"My mindset has changed everyday since my first offer. There will be days when I'm just overwhelmed with my blessings and then there's days when I want more offers. But I'm staying humble and trying very hard to stay focused and patient. Spring is right around the corner and I just want to stay healthy and help my teammates and myself get better."
Aside from his three scholarship offers several other big name schools are recruiting him.
"Iowa State, Louisville, Florida, Florida State, South Florida, Central Florida, and North Carolina are all schools that are sending me mail two to three times a week, but I wouldn't be surprised if a team that hasn't sent me anything offered me before these schools. Two of my three offers came from colleges (Tulane and Kansas) who had no contact with me before they offered. We will just have to see what God has planned for me."
Last season as a junior George racked up 99 tackles and one interception.
