A new offer came in for Brandywine (Md.) Gwynn Park athlete Brandon Banks in recent weeks. The third scholarship for the 5-foot-11, 170-pounder came from the SEC.
"I got an offer from Vanderbilt, two weeks ago," he said. "I like it a lot. The SEC is one of if not the best conference in college football and having that opens things up more.
"I kind of like Vanderbilt. My brother goes to Middle Tennessee and I like Nashville. I'm taking them in consideration."

Banks plans to head to Nashville soon, but that is far from the only visit coming up.
"I'm going down there on the 14th, next week," he said. "I'm spending a week there and right after I'm going to Connecticut and on my way up I'm going to visit Temple. I might go visit Georgia Tech too. I'm talking to them."
Prior to those visits, Banks plans to be in Pittsburgh this weekend for a 7-on-7.
According to the versatile prospect, most colleges just want to get a better look at him.
"They all like me, but they just want to see my size in person and see me in person."
So, does Banks like anybody?
"I'm not really sure, I'm hoping Clemson comes in," he said. "I know Clemson is basically in the middle of nowhere and it's hard to get in trouble, nothing will distract me. That's a good school I'm hoping will come through."
