Things speeding up for 2016 DE

Zach Gilbert is an up and coming defensive end in the 2016 class. Starring at Charlotte (N.C.) South Mecklenburg, Gilbert already has offers from Florida, North Carolina, Tennessee and Wake Forest but one school is starting to stand out.
"Right now Tennessee on my top list because Stephen is committed there," said the 6-foot, 241-pound Gilbert. "I know they're a good program and they some good players coming in. I know they're going to have good season and more season to come.

"I've watched Florida all my life, ever since I saw Tim Tebow take over the field and win the BCS championship," he said. "I showed out when I went to the Friday Night Lights camp.
"Chapel Hill has been showing a lot of love," Gilbert said. "I would love the option to stay home. They have my heart and right now they're showing more love than any of the offered schools.
There is still plenty of time left in Gilbert's recruitment and more teams are sure to come calling.
"I might visit North Carolina for one of their games," he said. "N.C. State is showing a lot of interest and so is Pittsburgh, Ohio State and Auburn. I'm trying to stay more in the SEC. All these SEC schools are showing love."
Gilbert has connections at a number of schools 's. His father, Sean Gilbert, was the No. 3 pick in he 1992 NFL Draft, his brother went to Wake Forest and he has a sister at Clemson.
