Things picking up for Williams

Ashdown, Ark. wide receiver Dee Williams is a tall, lean wideout with soft hands that could move up the recruiting rankings with a big senior season.
"I have gotten calls from Houston and Arkansas so far this month," Williams said. "Iowa State is really starting to show me a lot of interest here lately too. I have been getting handwritten mail from them and all kinds of stuff."

The 6-foot-2, 192-pound Williams attended the Fort Worth NIKE camp where he ran the 4.78 second 40-yard dash, ran the shuttle in 4.57 shuttle and posted a 31-inch vertical jump.
"I have been invited to some Arkansas and Houston games so far," Williams said. "Arkansas State invited me up this weekend and I may go. Louisiana Tech has also invited me to a game down there. I haven't talked to any coaches about official visits yet."
Through just three games so far this season Williams already has collected five receiving touchdowns.
"Houston, Arkansas, Nebraska, Ohio State and Iowa State are probably my top five right now," Williams said. "I am just trying to have a big season and get my film out so all these schools can see me. I am hoping interest will pick up some more as the season goes on."
As a junior Williams caught 40 passes for 830 yards and 11 touchdowns.
