Things heating up for Shaw

The recruitment of Rivals.com Junior All-American offensive tackle Gregory Shaw is gaining momentum. The 6-foot-6, 280-pounder continues to receive multiple scholarship offers, and has an early group of schools at the top of his list.
The Miami (Fla.) Pace standout has six schools that currently stand out.

"Georgia Tech, Tennessee, Louisville, Florida, Florida State and Ohio State (no order) are my top six," he said.
Shaw talked about what he liked about each of his current favorites.
"With Georgia Tech, I like Atlanta a lot and my recruiting coach," he said. "Tennessee has a great college atmosphere and they are talking to me about playing defensive line. Louisville has a great family environment and great facilities. With Florida State, I like the education that you get and the coaches. With Florida, I like Urban Meyer's coaching and (Gators assistant) John Holliday is good to talk to. I don't know too much about Ohio State."
Shaw holds offers from five of his top six schools (the Buckeyes haven't offered) and several others.
"I have offers from UCF, Florida, Tennessee, Louisville, Florida International, South Florida, Florida State, West Virginia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Auburn, Ole Miss and Minnesota," Shaw said. "And UCLA is on the way."
Shaw also has gotten attention recently from Clemson, Alabama and Oklahoma. The Crimson Tide coaching staff has informed him that he could receive an offer upon a review of his transcript.
In June, Shaw plans to make unofficial visits to Georgia Tech, Tennessee and Ohio State.
