Things heating up for AZ running back

It's a deep and talented year for running backs in Arizona this year with at least three players that could possibly rank among the top 10 backs in the West this year. One of those is Sierra Vista (Ariz.) Buena's Jamal Womble.
Womble, 5-11, 215 pounds is a powerful back with an incredibly strong lower body. Opposing defenders just bounce off him and his top end speed and is very good as well.

Womble is a patient runner as well, sets up his blockers and then runs downhill. He's not the kind of back that is going to put a lot of moves on someone, Womble is more of a one cut runner who can make the first guy miss and then gets up the field.
We think he would be an ideal fit in a one back style offense and it wouldn't surprise us if some schools even try and recruit him to play fullback. He has a big frame and could get up to 230 pounds or so in a few years.
On the recruiting front, Womble has received a couple of new offers and said he has 10 schools at the top of his list right now.
"I talked to Arizona State yesterday and they gave me a verbal offer," Womble said. "I have a verbal offer from Georgia Tech too and Nebraska, Boston College and Oregon State have also offered.
"Right now, I still have a big list and I'm not really close to narrowing my choices down. In addition to ASU, I also like Louisville, Tennessee, Nebraska, Boston College, Oregon State, North Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Tech, LSU and Oregon.
"Purdue is another school on my list and I'm probably going to their Junior Day in May which is the day before the NIKE Camp at Purdue. Purdue told me they want to offer me but just wanted to see me in person so I'll go out there and do the NIKE camp the next day."
Womble rushed for 1,223 yards and 14 touchdowns a year ago and could double those numbers this year.
