The USPS knows multi-skilled McAndrew

The state of Illinois recruiting class of 2005 is without question shaping up to be one of the deepest classes in recent memory, and Glenbard West multi-talented junior Tom McAndrew (6-foot-5, 235 pounds) is one of several prospects that has been keeping the mailman extremely busy over the last few weeks.
"It's been really great with all the attention that I've been getting. The mail over the last few weeks has really been picking up. I'm getting a ton of mail and several hand-written letters from Notre Dame, Stanford, Iowa, Wisconsin, TCU, Michigan, Michigan State, Boston College, Kentucky and Nebraska as well. I've also been getting steady mail and interest from Illinois, Northwestern, Northern Illinois and Bowling Green."

McAndrew has also begun to hit the college Junior Day circuit as well this offseason. "I was at the Northwestern Junior Day a few weeks ago, and I'm planning on being at the Illinois Junior Day on March 6th. I've been invited to a ton of Junior Days, but I play basketball and were about to start the playoffs in a week or so, and that makes it tougher to get to these events."
According to McAndrew, "I really have no favorites at this point. I'm still waiting for my first offer, and several schools have requested a copy of my junior tape, which we just sent out this week to at least 15-20 schools."
Tom McAndrew as a junior in 2003 was named as an All Area and All Conference selection. McAndrew plays inside linebacker and tight end for the Hilltoppers. McAndrew is also an accomplished kicker who has 45-50 yard field goal range.
