The secret is out for Texas WR

The secret is out. Leander, Texas, two-star receiver Torri Williams was one of the best kept secrets in the state of Texas. But now that his name is starting to make waves in the recruiting circles, the emphasis is definitely on the word was.
That’s because he’s now a solid Division I prospect that has offers from Purdue, Missouri and Kansas. But just as quickly as his name comes to the forefront the attention might be short lived.

“I’m looking to commit pretty soon,” said Williams, a 6-foot-2, 190-pound receiver that had 11 touchdown receptions and led his team to the state quarterfinals this year. “And I’m thinking about committing to Purdue.”
Williams said the Boilermakers lead solidly over the Jayhawks and Tigers at this mainly because of his love for the Purdue offense.
“They have an effective offense if you’re a receiver,” he said. “I want to be effective in college and catch a lot of ball. I’m also impressed with their academics. Purdue came by the house Monday night and they were really excited about my future up there.”
Williams hasn’t committed quite yet, but it sounds like it’s just around the corner. Williams is scheduled to visit Purdue on January 16. He was an all-district pick as a senior.
