The Roadies: Michigan camp

The three-star receiver from the reigning Los Angeles City Section champions already held an offer from the Wolverines heading
into camp, and he only cemented his standing Wednesday afternoon. Cooper might be one of the area's most overlooked prospects,
but he's quickly changed that this offseason. He was undoubtedly the quickest receiver in attendance and he showed fluidity
through every instructional drill.

Best hands
WR Andre Collins, Santa Ana (Calif.) Mater Dei
A broken ankle midway through his junior season set Collins back a bit, especially given the need to build an ever-important
highlight tape, but he rebounded nicely this spring. The 6-foot-4, 192-pound prospect was probably the most physically
impressive receiver at the camp and he followed up an impressive performance at the Dana Hills "Air Strike" passing tournament
with another fine showing. Collins adjusted well to the football near the sideline and showed some strong hands that would
qualify him as a sleeper heading into the fall.

Best arm
QB Peter Bush, Newport Beach (Calif.) Corona Del Mar
Bush has had a very productive high school career, highlighted by a state title run as a sophomore two years ago, and he's
hoping to cap it all with another successful season. He put good spin on his passes and seemed to throw a heavier ball than the
other quarterbacks. The 6-foot-1, 214-pound pro-style prospect was accurate during individual drills, backing up what we saw at
the inaugural Rivals Quarterback Challenge event nearly four months ago.

Raised stock
WR Dezmon Patmon, San Diego (Calif.) Patrick Henry
Patmon caught the attention of recruiters this past spring with his blend of size and athleticism. There are other receivers who
are more highly touted, but he certainly has the tools to be productive down the line. The three-star prospect gets up for the
football and controls his body well to adjust to throws that aren't put in the best places, and he seems to thrive when
cornerbacks decide to get physical in their coverage.

Best feet
DB Aaron Austin, La Puente (Calif.) Bishop Amat
With the presence of teammates Tyler Vaughns, Trevon Sidney and Chris Gaston in the same secondary,
Austin is often the forgotten man. Yet he proved Wednesday that offenses might find it difficult if they choose to throw to his
side this fall. Austin was impressive in his backpedal, moved quickly off his breaks and attacked the football at his highest
point when it approached him.
