The start of high school football season in the Midwest is here. With practices having already begun and the first games already upon us, it’s a good time to look at the region's top prospects.
With that in mind, Rivals.com presents The Midwest Major 50, a ranking that covers the top prospects from No. 1 to 50 in the area.
Heading the list is the country’s top cornerback prospect, Ted Ginn Jr. from Cleveland (Ohio) Glenville. Ginn has scholarship offers from just about everyone from coast-to-coast, but Ohio State may be tough to beat.
Speaking of offers from everyone, our top offensive prospect in the Big 10 region, quarterback Anthony Morelli, had just about everyone wishing they were Morelli’s pick until he committed to the Panthers earlier this month.
The Midwest Region encompasses the states of Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota Ohio, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The Midwest Major 50 will be updated twice a recruiting season – once in August and then again in January.
And as is always the case, the Midwest Region is packed full of talent that has college recruiters drooling.
While many of the 50 prospects below have already picked their college destination, a number of others have not and it will be fun following their decisions on Rivals.com.
