The next great NY WR

Rivals100 wide receiver Lansford Watson has received almost a half dozen offers already from the Big East and ACC. The 6-foot-4, 215-pounder with 4.6-second speed is planning to head to a couple junior days the next few weeks in hopes of landing more.
"He's already got offers from West Virginia, Rutgers, Syracuse, Connecticut and North Carolina," said Lincoln head coach Sean O'Connor. "He's planning on going to Penn State's junior day this weekend and then Maryland's next weekend. I wouldn't be surprised if he came back from both of them with offers."

At the moment, Watson doesn't have any leaders for his services.
"I don't see any leaders," he said. "He's been to camps at Syracuse, Connecticut and Rutgers last summer, but he's real wide open and knows the process will take a while."
A couple years ago another star receiver hailed from Lincoln in Nyan Boateng. How does Watson compare?
"He is a very different player than Nyan," he said. "I'd say he's not quite as good of an athlete as Boateng was, but he runs better routes and is a more polished receiver and has better hands.
"Lansford is very quick for his size and is trying to improve that speed even more by working with our track coach. He's a very hard worker and he continues to get better every day. Academically he's doing a great job too."
Watson has been compared to stud wide receiver Vidal Hazelton in size and his ability to pull in passes in traffic.
Watson hauled in 51 receptions for 850 yards and 11 touchdowns as a junior. He went on to be named to the Brooklyn 44 and all-city.
Watson plans to take in the Elite College Combine and may go to camps at Maryland and Penn State this summer.
