The Nations Best DE

Victor Abiamiri is the best defensive lineman in Maryland, and he has the offers to back that claim up.
“I’m hearing from a lot of schools from all over the country,” said 6-foot-5, 245-pound defensive end. “A lot of the major schools have offered me.”

Specifically, he’s received more than 25 offers overall. That includes offers from Michigan, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida, Florida State, Miami, Virginia Tech, Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Boston College.
“I’m not ready to narrow down my choices at all. Basically, everyone that has offered me is pretty even right now. I don’t know enough about each school yet to narrow it down.”
Last year at Baltimore (Md.) Gilman, Abiamiri had an incredible year, when he had 14 sacks and was in the opposing backfield almost every play.
“I run the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. I don’t think too many offensive tackles are quick enough to stay in front of me with my speed,” says Abiamiri.
Surprisingly, Abiamiri has not attended any summer camps, and has no plans to. He’s also only taken one unofficial visit.
“I’ve visited Maryland unofficially, because they’re the closest to home. I’m sure I’m going to visit more, but I don’t have any plans right now. The official visits are a long way off, and I’m not going to decide where to take those yet. My decision is probably a long ways off, because I have so many schools to choose from.”
For now, it seems that Maryland, Michigan, Penn State, Boston College, Virginia Tech, Florida State, Florida and Miami have been getting the most attention from Abiamiri.
