It has been a few weeks since Phil Patterson decommitted from Virginia Tech. The Virginia Beach (Va.) Bayside wide receiver was feeling uneasy about the coaching situation in Blacksburg.

WHAT'S NEXT?: Look for Patterson to take a few visits in January and really sort out his recruitment then.
IN HIS WORDS: "I'm just taking it day by day and trying to set of some visits," Patterson said. "I would say Virginia Tech, Illinois, North Carolina, and Wake Forest are the ones I'm talking to the most.
"I've been talking with coach Chuck Cantor," he said. "He's a cool coach. Coach Fuente has big plans for me. I talked to him the other day. I will be talking to the wide receivers coach soon."
RIVALS' REACTION: Virginia Tech seems to be in good position to get Patterson back but that could change depending on which schools he take official visits to and how those visits go.
