The latest with star 2017 DB Wade

Lamont Wade is one of the most talked about players in the 2017 class. The Clairton (Pa.) rising star defensive back already has a few offers in hand, including one from the hometown Pittsburgh Panthers.
"I went to Pitt to watch a practice," said the 5-foot-9, 182-pound Wade. "Everything was good. Everybody is doing well. All the Clairton guys are in the rotation and a couple of them are starting. The day I was there was their first day of full-pads and they were starting to turn the hitting up a little more and it was exciting to watch that.

"I talked to coach Douglas, the defensive backs coach, and I talked to coach Rudolph," he said. "They told me I was welcome there anytime I wanted to. They are expecting to have a good year this year and are looking for big things out of me."
It's early for Wade but he is already in touch with a few schools.
"Right now I'm hearing from Penn State, West Virginia and Pitt," Wade said. "I haven't gotten into stay home or going away too much right now.
"Everything is going well with Penn State," he said. "I'm staying in contact with the coaches. I think they're really good. I'm establishing a relationship with a couple of the coaches.
"Things are going well with West Virginia too," said Wade. "I've established a relationship with their coaches too. Coach Gibson from there is pretty cool. I'm trying to get down there to watch a practice and go for a little visit."
Michigan and Michigan State have started to recruit Wade but he does not have any visits planned right now.
