Rivals100 defensive back Nick Cross has been committed to Florida State since September but the Hyattsville (Md.) DeMatha star hasn’t shutdown his recruitment. Maryland hosted the local star for an unofficial visit on Thursday and Friday of last week, Florida State did an in-home visit on Monday night, Georgia will host him on Thursday and Friday, and Penn State will get Cross for an official visit this weekend. In this video above, Cross breaks down each school, his latest visits, and what he expects from the upcoming visits.

KEY QUOTES...

"I think it's mainly those three (Florida State, Penn State, and Georgia) but I'm not ruling anything out. We'll see how it all plays out in the next week."

Florida State- "It was always my dream school. I like coach Taggart and the staff. Once I got the offer I was pretty bent on going to Florida State. Having the coaches over on Monday was good. They talked about who they are bringing in, how things are going, and how the culture is changing."

Georgia- "I want to see how they'll use me in their defense and see what it is like to be a student athlete there. I talked to Charlton Warren a little but and he seems like a cool guy."

Penn State- "This will be my third time at Penn State. I want to get a feel for how the players like the program, how they fit in, and how they are acclimating."

Maryland- "It was good getting to spend some time with coach Brooks and coach Locksley. They took us on a tour and to the business school. I hadn't been there in a while so it was good to hang out with my boys and things like that."

RIVALS’ REACTION…

Florida State’s in-home visit yesterday was very important for the Noles and it seems like everything went well but not well enough for Cross to cancel his final visits. Georgia getting him back on campus is big for the Dawgs and new defensive backs coach Charlton Warren will need to really impress Cross and his family for Georgia to regain the momentum they once had. Penn State is in the power position right now as they are getting Cross’ final visit before Signing Day. Everything has been set up well for the Nittany Lions and now the coaching staff just needs to seal the deal over the weekend.
