The latest with R100 DT Tuttle

Rivals100 defensive tackle Shy Tuttle is not a fan of the recruiting process. Luckily it is coming to an end for the Lexington (N.C.) North Davidson star.
Tuttle is set to announce his commitment on September 26, the day of North Davidson's game against Winston Salem (N.C.) Mount Tabor.

"My finalists are my top five," said the 6-foot-2, 308-pound Tuttle. "I might do it right after school in the gym. I was thinking about doing it right before the game but I'm not sure that will work out."
The five schools that made Tuttle's top five are Tennessee, North Carolina, N.C. State, Miami and Clemson. He maintains there are still no favorites but many think his decision will come down to the Volunteers, Wolfpack and Tar Heels.
"I don't talk to Clemson that much any more but I still talk to Miami a little," he said. "I talk mostly with Coach Nielson from N.C. State, coach Kap from North Carolina and coach Elder from Tennessee."
Last weekend Tuttle made the short trip up to Chapel Hill.
"It was fun. I went to their practice and watched film with them," Tuttle said. "I like a lot of their players. During games you can see the end pin the guard inside and then the defensive tackle would chase the guard."
Last season Tuttle racked up 77 tackles, nine for a loss and had one interception return for a touchdown.
