The latest with four-star LB Adams

The 2017 class at Pittsburgh (Pa.) Central Catholic is one of the best collections of talent at any high school in the country. David Adams is one of the major prospects and he is ranked among the best inside linebackers in the country.
Adams' offer sheet is well into the double-digits but it seems like he still has plenty of research ahead of him.

"My recruitment has spurts where I get a couple offers then it holds off and I get a couple more so it's interesting," said the 6-foot-2, 225-pound Adams. "It's a fun process. My last offers were from Virginia Tech and North Carolina.
"I know a lot about North Carolina's basketball team but I don't know a whole lot about their football program," he said. "I do know that all their defensive coaches are new and they are doing some good thing over there. I'm excited to get an offer from them and I'm for sure considering them. They just offered me about a week ago and before that one of their coaches came by the school. I haven't really talked to them except when I called them and got the offer.
"I've heard some great things about Virginia Tech from Rashad Wheeler," Adams said. "He went up there a couple weeks ago and I just talked to coach Foster a few weeks ago when he offered me. He's an outstanding coach. I'm hoping to take a trip some time July to see Virginia and Virginia Tech."
The two in-state schools have done a great job with Adams so far.
"I talk to Penn State and Pittsburgh a lot," he said. "I think it's just because they've always been there since the start of the season. I have the best relationship with them I would say.
"It's really good with Pitt," said Adams. "Coach Harley and me are developing a really good relationship. I just talked to him the other day. He wants all of us to stay home. They're calling it the "412 Crew.' It's awesome to think about that all of the hometown kids have a possibility of staying home.
"I would probably say the bond is extremely strong with Penn State because I talk to coach Smith probably once every two weeks and we have a great relationship," he said. "When I go up there I just spend a lot of time with coach Pry and coach Shoop. I really enjoy going up there."
Adams thinks Stanford could add their name to his offer sheet that includes Maryland, Nebraska, West Virginia and others.
