The Latest On SoCal DE Brian Wilson

Lancaster (CA) Paraclete defensive lineman Brian Wilson, 6-2, 265 pounds, took an official visit to Nebraska two weeks ago. Wilson had a great time and was hopeful an offer was on its way but that’s when things got a little crazy.
“He had a lot of fun attending the game with Kansas State, seeing the school and facilities and meeting all the coaches,” Ken Wilson, Brian’s father said. “We were given the impression from Coach Sanders that Brian had a very strong chance of an offer and that we should be hearing from them early the next week.

“Coach Solich and Coach Pelini were very encouraging as well. After not hearing from them for a week, Brian called Coach Sanders, who apologized and said he took a week off for personal reasons and that he had not talked to the other coaches about any recruiting yet. He was to call us back again but never has. Coach Solich was fired three hours after we talked to Coach Sanders and that’s the last time we’ve spoken to them so we don't really know what's going on over there. It would be nice to know either way.”
Wilson did receive good news earlier today when San Diego State offered him a scholarship, his first one of the year. The Aztecs will be in the home Wednesday and Wilson has an official visit set for this weekend (Dec. 12). Fresno State has a home visit scheduled for Thursday and Wilson will visit the Bulldogs (Jan. 9).
