The Herring wait continues
Batesville (Miss.) South Panola linebacker Chris Herring linebacker Chris Herring was slated to visit Ole Miss this weekend, but it looks like the wait will continue.
"I'm still down to Ole Miss and State," Herring said. "I still consider myself a soft Rebel commitment, but I'm now going to visit them on Jan. 18."

Herring said he won't take any other official visits in January and is still down to the final two.
"I thought again this weekend about the other schools," Herring said. "But I know what I like."
Herring said he's really looking forward to the dead period that starts on Monday.
"I need a break from recruiting," he said. "I'm just going to kick it with my family."
