The Cougars Score Huge

The Washington State Cougars scored again and landed one of the best offensive linemen on the west coast when Russell Foster (6-6, 290, 5.0) of Chula Vista (Calif.) Bonita Vista committed to Cougar head coach Mike Price and company.
Foster felt comfortable with the campus and the surroundings. He particularly impressed with line coach Connelly and head coach Mike Price.

Foster was in Pullman for the Apple Cup and believe it or not, he liked the way head coach Mike Price handled the players after the tough loss the Cougars had to endure.
Foster felt at home in Pullman and loved the facilities at Washington State. He also felt that he would become a valued member of the Cougar team and likes the way the team interacts with one another.
Fosters’ Dad knew his son loved the trip when he arrived home even though he was tired he was very excited about his experience at Washington State.
The reason that Foster didn’t commit on his visit is he wanted to make sure that he took a couple days to think about it and that he wasn’t caught up in the emotion of the trip.
In an earlier interview with Rivals100 Foster told us “I just want to play football. It doesn’t matter how far or how cold. I will take my trips and go with my gut.”
Bonita Vista head coach Carl Parrick has this to say about his talented tackle, “The bigger the player that lines across from Russell the better he plays. He’s very lean and has a lot of room to gain weight without losing any of his awesome quickness.”
Playing the all important left tackle spot, Foster is an outstanding pass blocker and he’s a good drive blocker as well.
The Cougars get rich with the pick up of Foster.
