Position: Tight end/linebacker
Size and Speed: Davis is 6-foot-4 and weighs in at 220 pounds. He runs the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds.
Statistics: As a junior, Davis made 35 catches for 375 yards and 10 touchdowns playing both wide receiver and tight end. On defense, Davis made 65 tackles and had six interceptions.
Honors: all-state, all-conference.
Favorite Schools: Maryland, Penn State, Syracuse, Virginia, Notre Dame, Florida State, Virginia Tech.
Skinny: Davis is the best player in the D.C. area this recruiting year and has the size and speed to play many positions. While most teams are looking at him as a tight end or wide receiver, others are raving about his skills at linebacker.
“I prefer to play offense and most teams know that,” he said. “I have about 18 offers so far and most of them are for offense.”
Davis has offers from all of his favorites except for Florida State and was visited by FSU, Virginia, Clemson, Tennessee, UConn and a few others already this week. Right now he has a favorite with two teams just trailing.
“Maryland is my favorite,” he said. “It’s about 15 minutes from where I live and they’re a good team. After them, I like Penn State and Virginia but I’m going to look at all of my favorites. I won’t decide until after my senior season.”
Davis isn’t sure where he’ll camp this summer.
