Tezino hearing from Big 12 power

Oklahoma is showing a lot more interest in Kyahva Tezino and now the four-star linebacker is waiting to see if the Sooners will offer.
"Oklahoma was here and they may jump in the mix," Los Angeles Salesian coach D'Vah Thomas said. "They're waiting to see how a few linebackers pan out and they are on him tough, San Diego State is on him tough and he's taking a trip to Washington State."

Tezino, rated as the No. 10 outside linebacker by Rivals.com, has seen his recruitment pick up with Oklahoma and the Sooners could get more involved soon. It sounds like Oklahoma is waiting to hear from some other linebackers and if commitments don't come soon then Tezino could get the offer.
And Thomas said the four-star standout is definitely interested in the Big 12 powerhouse.
"They offered a few linebackers and they're waiting to see what they're going to do," Thomas said. "If they keep slow playing then he's No. 1 up next for them. They have a couple offers out so they want to see what happens."
The only official visit Tezino has planned at this point is to Washington State for its regular-season finale against Washington on Nov. 29. The Washington State coaching staff has been aggressive with Tezino so that trip is big.
Other visits to Arizona State, San Diego State and Oklahoma are also possibilities. Thomas said a visit to Arizona - where former Salesian teammates Marquis Ware and Jamardre Cobb are freshmen - is "up in the air."
"It could be great," Thomas said of Tezino's Washington State trip. "His mom is going with him on the visit so we'll see. Coach (Dennis) Simmons has been on him.
"Kyahva has been playing great. He's been playing quarterback for us, running back, slot, linebacker. He's been playing everything."
