Caddo Mills, Texas, receiver Desmond Brigham has a message for other high school players in the Lone Star State.
"Texas players need to stay and play for Texas teams," Brigham, who is 6-foot and 169 pounds, said.

"That was one of the biggest reasons why I committed to play for UNT today. It's a great program that's really on the rise, plus it's just about an hour from home, and I really liked it. But the biggest thing is that I really believe that Texas guys need to stay and play for Texas teams.
"That's how Texas got so good. And I know that's what we're going to do at North Texas now."
Brigham's pledge is a rather big one for UNT. He is ranked as a 5.4 player on the Rivals Rating Scale, and he had scholarship offers from Arkansas, Iowa State, Missouri and Louisiana Monroe.
"It was an exciting decision for me and my family," Brigham said. "My mom got to go up there and see what UNT's all about, and she is really excited. They're going to get a bunch of new facilities, and they're going to be building a new stadium. That's another thing that I really like, too."
Brigham was recruited by UNT assistant Chuck Petersen.
"Coach Petersen was my recruiting coach, and he was awesome," Brigham said. "I really liked him a lot. I liked all of the coaches. They're really excited about what they're building up there."
As a junior, Brigham caught 47 passes for 702 yards and seven touchdowns.
