Texas WR staying local

Sleeper wide receiver Marcus King played in a running offense most of his career at Euless (Texas) Trinity, but he's made a commitment to a school that promises to throw the ball.
The 6-foot-3, 205-pounder made a verbal commitment to North Texas within the last week. He says that the promise of playing time and the spread offense is what made his decision an easy one.

"I'm used to running the ball but now I'm going into an offense where I can get more catches," King said. "It's a nice school with nice facilities. They've built on a lot, so that has me excited."
King says that he was being recruited by coach Clayton George. The UNT coaches have told the talented Metroplex prospect that he'll get a chance to step in right away if he competes well.
"They said I have a shot to play my freshman year," King said. "I have a good chance of doing that."
King didn't have any other scholarship offers when he made his commitment. He says he's solid unless something pops up at the last minute.
"If more schools contact me, I'll have to make a decision," King said. "If not, I'm set with North Texas."
