Texas WR picks SMU
Mt. Vernon, Texas, two-star receiver/athlete Tim Monroe has joined the Pony commitment parade.
What is shaping up as the biggest recruiting weekend of the year for SMU has increased the commitment total by another one when Monroe pledged to SMU before he left this weekend.
"I just felt right," Monroe, who is 6-foot-2 and 190 pounds, said. "I liked the chance to help them turn that program around, and the coaches and players are all first class. I'm pumped about my decision. I'm excited to be heading to SMU."
