Texas WR makes decision for future

San Antonio (Texas) Taft receiver Steven Williams was scheduled to visit Minnesota this past weekend, but there ended up being a change in plans and a commitment instead.
“He ended up visiting Harvard and he’s committed to play there,” said Taft offensive coordinator Brett Lemoine. “He is No. 1 in his senior class, and he wants to be a lawyer. He sees his future way down the line and knows that he’s not going to be playing in the NFL, so he decided to do what’s best for his future and commit to Harvard.”

Lemoine said there is still a slight chance that Williams could visit Minnesota this weekend, but he didn’t see that happening because he is solid on his decision.
So what type of player is Williams?
“He missed his junior season with a broken collar bone,” Lemoine said. “But he came back this year and was really able to do a lot of good things. He just turned 17, so his body will continue to grow and he’s going to build into a really solid college receiver.”
