Houston (Texas) Lamar wide receiver Brandon LaFell is looking forward to a big senior season to help his name become known by college recruiters.
“I’m really looking forward to this next season,” the 6-foot-2, 170-pound LaFell said. “I had a decent year last year, but I’m really looking forward to my senior year.”
The junior season culminated in 49 catches for 552 yards and 15 touchdowns.
“I’m going to take in a couple of camps this summer,” he said. “I’m going to the Houston camp and the Nike camp at Texas A&M for sure. Hopefully I can put on a good showing there and schools will notice me.”
So far, some schools are taking notice. LaFell has received interest from Houston, Iowa, LSU, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and TCU.
“I don’t have any scholarship offers so far,” he said. “As the season gets closer and I get to some camps, that will come.”
