Texas WR looking at position switch

Fort Worth (Texas) Dunbar wide receiver Ernest Mason is being recruited by several teams for either side of the ball.
"Some schools are recruiting me as a wide receiver," the 6-foot, 180-pound Mason said. "But others are recruiting me as a cornerback. Playing is the main thing, but at cornerback would be my first choice, I guess."

Mason is currently holding scholarship offers from several schools among his list.
"Arkansas, Colorado, Iowa, LSU and Notre Dame have all offered me a scholarship," Mason said. "Nebraska has, I think. They've talked about it. But really those other five are the schools I am really watching the most right now."
As a junior, Mason caught 27 passes for 480 yards and scored eight times from his wide receiver spot. On defense, he recorded 34 tackles and three interceptions.
Mason is trying to finalize his camp schedule even at this late date.
"I'm probably going to the Alabama camp this coming weekend," Mason said. "And later this month, I'm going to the LSU camp."
