Texas WR heads in different direction

After dealing with minor injuries for most of his senior year, South Garland (Texas) wide receiver John Turner is looking at his remaining options.
Turner, the 5-foot-11, 195-pound speedster, was previously holding scholarship offers from Indiana, Kansas State, and Missouri. However, at this point, he's unsure of which offers are still on the table after his senior season. Other options are surfacing.

"There are some different schools out there showing interest," Turner said. "I've got an offer coming in from Louisiana Tech. I've also talked with some Division I-AA schools like Prairie View and Illinois State."
As for his offers from Missouri, Indiana, and Kansas State, Turner says he's unsure of where things stand.
"I haven't talked with those schools in a while," Turner said. "I'm not real sure about those right now."
Turner denies having any favorites and has yet to set up any official visits. Louisiana Tech, however, seems to be a viable option for him.
"Louisiana Tech said they had watched my film and they were going to make a move on something," Turner said about a possible offer."
Turner says the reason recruiting is up in the air is because of his injury plagued senior year.
"I dislocated my thumb in the beginning of the season and that caused me to miss the first four weeks," Turner said. "Then I got turf toe and missed the last game. I really only was in five games all year. Everybody backed off I guess."
