Texas WR hauls in offers after NIKE

While it appears to be more of a deep year with wide receivers in Texas than originally thought, top prospects are still coming out from the shadows with scholarship offers. This is just like the 6-foot-4, 189-pound Fort Worth (Texas) Everman pass-catcher Jonathan Jones.
Jones, who showed very well at the NIKE Training Camp, saw his offer count go from zero to many after leaving College Station. So far, the written offers include Nebraska, Northwestern, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, TCU, Duke, and Kansas.

That's not including numerous verbal ones from Texas A&M, Missouri, Colorado, Washington State, and others.
"It was right after the camp that this all started," Jones said. "As soon as we were done, people started coming in with offers. I mean, we had coaches come by the school, but they had never offered. Then, all of a sudden, I've got all these schools offering and it's kind of crazy."
Recently, Jones just returned from the Texas camp and got good reviews by the coaches.
"The wide receiver coach sayd that he was going to start looking at me harder and maybe later on they may come out with an offer," Jones said. "I've got the TCU camp this Friday and I'm trying to get down to Arkansas with my teammate Johnny Fobbs. I wanted to go to Florida, but I have to check to see if they have a camp."
As for favorites, Jones says that he's pretty wide open. If he had to name one, the Texas receiver says that he'd have to say Arkansas has a small edge.
"I just talk to the coaches there quite a bit and we've got a lot in common," Jones said. "Now that they can't call, we don't talk. I'm looking at everybody though."
