Texas WR gathering interest
Marshall, Texas wide receiver William Osborne is one of several talented players on his team this season. The 5-foot-7 speedster is considered by his coach to be one of the playmakers for the team.
"William is one of the fastest people on the team," Marshall coach Rodney Southern said. "He can single-handedly change a game with his speed by taking something the distance. He is our punt and kickoff return man and that is where he can really hurt the other teams."

Osborne has received interest from Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, SMU and TCU at this point.
"We open spring practice this week," Southern said. "That will get some coaches to stop by and see our guys in action. William will catch some eyes with his speed. He does not have any scholarship offers, yet, but hopefully will get that done soon after they get to see him and meet him."
Osborne earned honorable mention Class 4A honors in 2004.
