Baytown (Texas) lee wide receiver Michael Reed has taken one official visit and another is on the way.

“I visited Brigham Young last weekend,” the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Reed said. “I had a good time. They are a good team with a very good offense. I think I could enjoy being part of that team.”

Reed also will visit New Mexico the last weekend of January.

“The only other visit I have set is a trip to New Mexico,” he said. “I’m looking forward to that trip.”

Reed has scholarship offers from both schools.

“BYU offered on my trip,” he said. “New Mexico’s has been there for a while. Right now I would say BYU has the lead and there is a good chance I’ll end up there. But, I have not made a decision.”
