Texas Tech commit solid on field, pledge
Louis Vasquez, the star offensive tackle for Corsicana (Texas) High, waited until he had checked out all his options before he committed to Texas Tech.
“I’ve already taken visits to Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech, and that’s where I decided on going to Tech,” he said.

Despite his research in his decision, Vasquez said he’s still getting interest from some schools.
“I’m still firm with Texas Tech, but Arkansas is touching base with me, and so is Oklahoma State and Texas. All of those schools except Texas have given me an offer.”
Vasquez continues to get interest in part because of his performance this season. Corsicana has a 6-1 record, and can ensure a spot in the playoffs with a win.
“We just need to keep heading along,” he said. “The line has been doing good this year. Last Friday we had an awesome game, everyone was hustling just getting it done.”
