Houston tight end Brandon Perkins is getting more and more attention from colleges.
Included on his list are Texas Christian, Southern Methodist, Oklahoma State, McNeese State, Texas-El Paso and Texas A&M.
"Those schools all are pretty even in terms of recruiting intensity right now", Perkins said. "I really can't put anyone team in the lead at this time." He does not have any offers yet.
The second team All-District tight end caught 10 passes for 212 yards and 1 touchdown last season. He will play both tight end and defensive end this year.
What are your strengths on the field? "I have good speed. I am energetic, and I play smart, with a lot of pride," Perkins said.
Perkins camped at Texas Christian and Texas A&M this summer, and has not been able to take any unofficial visits. Perkins could not pick out individual schools yet for where he would like to visit.
When asked who his toughest opponent was, Perkins said, "probably Lawrence Hooper."
Brandon plans on studying engineering graphics in college.
