Texas TE wants Miami to ring his Bell

If the right call comes, Hitchcock, Texas, tight end Josh Bell could commit tomorrow.
“I really want to sign before the season, so I can get it out of the way and get on with my season,” he said. “I think I’m ready to commit.”

Bell (6-7, 245-pounds) likes Oklahoma, LSU and Texas, but covets an offer from Miami – who he has favored since his childhood.
“I really like Miami and have received a lot of handwritten mail from their tight end’s coach,” he said.
Off the ponderosa, Bell dominates the lane for Hitchcock’s basketball team – which reached the state semi-finals the last two years. He will be playing for the Houston Lynx AAU select basketball team this summer and the runs for his school’s track team, but understands that football will be his meal ticket.
“I’m a good run-blocker but would love our coach to throw the ball up more and let me go get it,” he said.
Outside his athletic prowess, Bell is in the top 10 percent of his class and took the SAT last weekend.
