Texas TE still searching for offers

Nacogdoches (Texas) athlete/tight end Jamarcus Skillern is playing the field with his recruiting situation.
Offers have seemed close from a number of schools. UTEP and Houston, two schools that the 6-foot-2, 215-pound prospect camped at, looked like they were about to make an offer to the three-star rated Texas target. However, something got in the way of that.

"UTEP was supposed to after I worked out at their camp but they didn't do it," Skillern said. "I haven't seen it at least. I guess I didn't perform the way they wanted me to."
Skillern also said the attention has gone down because coaches are not allowed to call during this period.
"The interest is down because they can't call like they did in May," Skillern said. "When they could though, they called a lot. UTEP was a big one along with Houston and Texas."
It looks to be a Signing Day decision for Skillern because as of right now he does not know who all will have offered him by that time. He wants to find out who will jump in that category.
"To be honest, right now I don't have a clue," Skillern said. "I figure the only thing I can do now is to keep on getting better. Everything will fall in place if I just concentrate on that."
Skillern is rated as the No. 86 overall prospect in the state of Texas.
