Texas TE still favoring Horns

Houston (Texas) Jersey Vilalge tight endGabe Ratcliff continues to favor the home state Horns.
"Recruiting has been going about the same as always," the 6-foot-3, 230-pound Ratcliff said. "It has been steady at least. I haven't had any new schools call for quite a while. I still have Texas the No. 1 team on my list."

The other schools calling are Pittsburgh, Arizona and Texas A&M.
"Those are the ones that have called recently," he said. "There were more that called earlier in the month too."
The No. 16 rated tight end has scholarship offers from Arizona, Colorado, Pittsburgh, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M and North Carolina.
"I have not lined up any visits yet," he said. "I am waiting until our season is over to line them up. I want to stay focused on our season."
Ratcliff has not been on any unofficial visits this fall, but he has taken in one game.
"I went to the Texas-Rice game in Houston on my own," he said. "But I wasn't there as a guest of either school."
Jersey Village opened up district play last Friday with a 28-7 victory.
"We got off to a good start in district play," he said. "That was nice to get it rolling early on."
On the season, Ratcliff has 12 receptions in three games games for 140 yards. He also hauled in his only score of the year in a season opening overtime victory.
