Texas TE making most of chances
Arlington (Texas) Lamar tight end Austin Michelsen continues to await his first scholarship offer.
“Several schools are still talking to Austin,” Michelsen’s father, Rob, said. “He has been getting calls and mail from Arkansas, Tulsa, Baylor and Texas Tech. None of them have offered him yet.

“Arkansas did invite him to the Georgia game for an unofficial visit. He is just taking in the information right now. Everything is still wide open right now.”
Michelsen is having a good senior season for a tight end in an offense that doesn’t put the ball in the air much.
“He is having an excellent season,” the elder Michelsen said. “They don’t throw the ball a lot, but when they do it is to him. The style of the offense just keeps the ball on the ground. Austin has caught 14 passes this year for a little over 300 yards. He also has five touchdowns.”
