Texas TE enjoys trip to K-State

Colleyville (Texas) Heritage tight end J.B. Phillips is back from his third and his final official visit. So how did K-State compare to Nebraska and Oklahoma State.
"I liked it a lot," Phillips, a three-star tight end, said. "It's hard to compare all three of the schools since they each have stuff I like.

"But I did like K-State a lot."
Phillips, who was noticeably tired, said there were a few things that jumped out about his time in Manhattan.
"The coaches were really nice and the program itself was impressive," Phillips said. "It's easy to sell a program when they win 11 games all the time. But I also liked the academics there. They really stressed that a lot there and that impressed me."
Phillips said he expects to receive in -home visits from Nebraska and Oklahoma State, including a visit from Less Miles, on Monday. Coach Bill Snyder from K-State comes in home with Phillips on Tuesday.
