Texas standout sure of position

Try to figure this one out. He's a two-year starter at quarterback. Most schools are recruiting him as a receiver. But Houston North Shore's Willie Gaston is convinced that he'll make a better defensive back on the college level.
"I think my brother has a lot to do with that," Gaston explained. "He's (Levi) a redshirt freshman defensvie back at U of H (Houston)."

Regardless of what position he wants to play, Gaston, who is 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, first has to finish this season and then decide on a college.
But he is already starting to think seriously about those college choices.
"I guess you could say that UCLA is the heavy favorite," Gaston said. "Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma State and Houston are also in there, too. Really, I'm just now starting to talk to the coaches to get a feel for all the schools."
Oklahoma State has already offered a scholarship while Gaston says the Pac 10 trio of the Bruins, Wildcats and Sun Devils have each offered an official visit.
Part of Gaston's dilemna in choosing his position is his all-around athleticism. For instance, as a quarterback last year, he showed ability not only as a passer (57-114 for 1,347 yards and 12 touchdowns), but also as a runner (850 rushing yards and eight touchdowns).
The last North Shore quarterback who went on to change positions in college is Cedric Cormier, who is now a wide receiver at Colorado.
