Texas safety sets Purdue visit

The ball has not stopped rolling for Copperas Cove (Texas) safety Tim Atchison who is holding seven offers and counting at the current time while still finding time to set up his first official visit.
Purdue, Georgia Tech, Louisiana Lafayette, New Mexico State, UTEP, Tulsa, and Stephen F. Austin make up his offer list and though the 6-foot-2, 185-pound defender has mentioned he'd like to stay in Texas, he can't stop thinking about an out-of-state school.

"I really like Purdue and also Texas A&M even though they haven't offered," Atchison said. "Purdue's coaching staff is great and I'm visiting them on Oct. 1 to watch them play Notre Dame."
"I'm real excited about that one."
With his first official set, Atchison is obviously taking all of this slow. His decision mirrors that same trend.
"Yep, I'm not going to decide until after the football season," Atchison said. "I want to make sure I look around everywhere and make the right choice."
His desire to stay in-state is probably the biggest factor and could change with the right offer.
"I want to stay close to Texas," Atchison said. "If I don't really get any offers from any Texas schools that I like, I'll do whatever is best and go to the best school available."
