Texas safety riding a big wave

It doesn't get much better when you're team is undefeated and you're looking at several options for college. That's exactly what's happening with Tatum, Texas safety Daylon McCoy and his team who are staring at a 5-0 record with his team and also taking some visits to sort out his recruitment.
The 6-foot, 187-pound two-star defensive sleeper is starting to turn the page on his recruitment as new offers could be coming his way. This past weekend he made an unofficial visit to Louisiana Tech and has plans for this weekend as well.

"I'm waiting on a few offers, like Louisiana Tech, but I had a great time there and talked with the assistant coach about an offer," McCoy said about his unofficial visit this past weekend. "They said it would be a pretty good place to go as far as playing time. I'll go to TCU this next weekend for another unofficial visit."
His official visits will begin in December with a decision in January. McCoy is sure about a couple of trips.
"I'm setting one up with Louisiana-Lafayette which will be in December, I just don't know the date yet," McCoy said. "The coaches seem really interested in getting me down there."
As for his season, he may not be sure of his exact stats, but he feels the team is just off to a better start.
"I think our team is so disciplined this year," he said. "We started off with a weak offense and a lot of seniors coming back on defense. But, we stayed with it and got everything done. We had a comeback win this last week, so you can tell we're getting better each game."
McCoy is set to graduate in December.
